Phoenix London Display Now Open

Phoenix London Display Now Open

The British Piano Design and Manufacturing Company, Phoenix are proud to announce the opening of a new display of their pianos in London.

In collaboration with the publishing and media group PPM International, Phoenix Pianos will be displaying examples of their advanced technology, high performance, climate resistant, upright and grand pianos which uniquely incorporate patented carbon fibre soundboards and action parts. The venue, “House of Phoenix” overlooks the Thames waterfront in Greenwich.

The venue includes both indoor and an outdoor recital area built out over the Thames River. PPMI and Phoenix Pianos plan to hold a wide spectrum of events including recitals, competitions and piano masterclasses.

Initially, the piano display will consist of a Model 130 Upright and Model 170 Grand to demonstrate how our new concept small piano can challenge a conventional concert grand in recital. The full range of Phoenix models will be retained at Hurstwood Farm Piano Studios at the Phoenix home base in Borough Green, Kent (35 to 40 minutes by twice hourly train service from Victoria and 45 minutes from House of Phoenix by car via the M2/ M25 and M20 motorways). Hurstwood Farm Piano Studios is open 7 days per week 52 weeks per year at any hour by appointment.

An official launch is planned for June – watch this website and our social media for further announcements and full details.

House of Phoenix is located in the beautifully restored Paynes Paper Wharf building on Wharf Street, which was built as a rail/shipping exchange terminus for direct travel between London and America but was never commissioned for that purpose.

The new display will be open to the public Monday to Friday, between 9:30am and 5:30pm. The House of Phoenix complex also houses an art gallery, coffee house and bookshop.

It is our hope that with this new display, located in the heart of one of the world’s most prestigious cultural centres, many more people will have a chance to play and hear our technologically ground-breaking pianos. We look forward to welcoming you there soon.
